Municipal School 3 Wat Ang Thong was established on June 4, 1944, by Mr. Metha Detkaew, the educational officer of Mueang Ang Thong District, who presided over the opening ceremony at the request of Mr. Phon Wittyaphorn, the Ang Thong Provincial Education Officer at that time, and His Excellency the Abbot of Wat Ang Thong, Phra Bodhiwongsa Chao Khun (Phaew Amphachat), who provided the lower level of the sermon hall as the place for learning.
